Here I have I have shown with toor dal which my mom makes. This goes well as a side dish with any variety rice or even with plain rice. This also makes a good combo with rasam rice, curd rice and tiffin items like idli and dosa. Do try and share your comments. Servings: 4 Total making time: 10 mins. INGREDIENTS : Toor dal : 2 tbsp Garlic : 2 large pod Tamarind: small gooseberry size Fresh Coconut : 1/2 small coconut grated Red chillies : 4 or as per spice Cooking Oil : 1 tbsp Water : a little Salt: as per taste For Tempering: (optional): Cooking oil : 1 tbsp Mustard seeds :1 tsp Curry leaves : few Method: 1. Heat oil in a kadai. Then first add toor dal and garlic. 2. Fry them till golden brown do not burn. Then add red chillies,tamarind and fry it for a minute. Do not burn it. 3. ...
